Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) took the first-run lead in the men's slalom Tuesday night before an eye-popping 50,000 spectators and overcame softening snow on his second run to win by .66 with a time of 1:44.60 with Frenchman Jean Pierre Vidal 2nd. It was his fourth win of the season, his third in slalom. Tom Rothrock (Cashmere, WA) had his second top-20, finishing an unofficial 16th with Chip Knight (Stowe, VT), 21st, and Erik Schlopy (Park City, UT), 24th.

A second women's super G of the World Cup season, which was rescheduled twice, finally was canceled today because of high winds and poor visibility on the Oreiller-Killy course. The race, originally scheduled for Dec. 5 in Val d'Isere, was moved to Megeve because of poor snow, only to be reschedule again, for Val d'Isere, because of poor snow in Megeve.
